Mosquito Control

Mosquito control

Mosquitoes are blood-sucking insects that feed on birds, dogs, cats, mice, rats, and other warm-blooded animals. Mosquito breed in all kinds of water from small containers to tree holes and in old tires and in large bodies of water like ponds and marshes. Mosquitoes don’t care if the water is salty or fresh, or polluted.

Mosquitoes can be controlled either as adults or larvae. Adult mosquitoes can fly away from the breeding site and become difficult to find. Controlling mosquitoes after they reach the adult stang requires expensive equipment. Mosquitoes treating equipment must create a very fine mist for the insecticide to kill adult mosquitoes.

Many times mosquitoes that are a problem to homeowners result from a problematic breeding site that is in their own backyard. Water-holding containers suck as birdbaths, tree holes, tires, tin cans, uncovered boats, leaf clogged gutters all are mosquito breeding sites.

Emptying the water from these places can be a quick and effective way to reduce mosquito populations around your home.  The following tips can also help reduce your mosquito breeding places.

  • Empty all buckets, tires, bottles, uncovered containers that hold water – this will prevent mosquitoes from laying eggs.
  • Change birdbath and pet bowls at least once a week
  • Stock ponds with fish-eating mosquitoes – The gambusia

Our Mosquito Control Treatment
